4月に韓国で開催されたチョユリ初の単独コンサート「2025 FAN-CON『Episode 25』」。
久しぶりにIZONE時代の振り付けを披露してくれたりして話題になったこのコンサート、そこで披露されたAdele「When we were young」が歌・演出ともに素晴らしかったので翻訳した。公式の映像が絵画のように美しかった。

感想
「When we were young」はアデルの2015年のアルバム「25」に収録されている。アルバム名は彼女の年齢にちなんで名付けられており、チョユリが自身の25歳という年にコンサートを開催するに当たってこの曲を選んだのにはそのことも関係しているのかもしれない。
それにしても著名な曲のカバーが単なる上手な模倣に留まらないのがチョユリの歌手としての稀な才能を示していると感じる。最近では女優としての活躍も評価されている彼女には、そもそも表現者としての素質があったのだと思う。
振り返って見るとIZONEの時から12名の中には彼女よりも目立つメンバーはいた。それでもチョユリの個性が放つ輝きは、眩しくて目立つというより、知らない間に心に届く魅力と不思議な強靭さを備えているように感じられたのを思い出す。
